A Beautiful Place for Your Intimate Wedding, Forest, Lambton Shores

A Beautiful Place for Your Intimate Wedding, Forest, Lambton Shores

If you are planning a wedding for twenty guests rather than two hundred, many traditional venues simply aren't designed for what you have in mind. Banquet halls and resorts are built around large receptions, large kitchens and large numbers.

The Forest Carnegie Library Event Centre offers something different. A Historic Setting for Weddings, Elopements and Vow Renewals

Built in 1912 as a Carnegie Library, this beautiful heritage building has been carefully restored and given a new life as a private event centre in the heart of Forest, Ontario.

Its original architecture, soaring ceilings, wood details and beautiful proportions create a memorable setting without needing to cover the room in decorations.

It is a place where twenty people can feel just as welcome as fifty.

Hold your ceremony, exchange your vows, gather with family and friends, enjoy a meal, take photographs and make the building part of your story.

We welcome intimate weddings, elopements, vow renewals and small receptions for up to approximately 50 guests.

And because the space can be arranged in different ways, it can feel wonderfully intimate for a small gathering rather than like a large room with empty chairs.

A Little Different. A Lot More Personal.

Located at 12 Main Street North in Forest, the Event Centre is approximately 20 minutes from Grand Bend and Lake Huron, and about 30 minutes from Sarnia.

For guests travelling from outside the area, we also have relationships with nearby B&B accommodations to help make an overnight celebration possible.

It is close enough to make a weekend of it—yet away from the crowds and bustle of the larger tourist centres.

Your Day. Your Way.

Venue rental starts at $250 for three hours, with additional time and services available.

Bring your own food and make use of the kitchen, or talk with us about arranging catering, decorating, photographers and other services to help make your day easier.

Most importantly, your private event remains private. We do not publicize and events, including weddings, celebrations, family gatherings or private meetings of any sort, unless you specifically ask us to do so.

Come See Her

The Forest Carnegie Library has been part of Forest since 1912. Today, she has a new chapter—and perhaps your wedding could become part of her story.

Imagine your day. Come see the venue.

And bring your Thirst for Knowledge about what might be possible.
