Friday Pool Nights: sign up
Singles and mixed doubles on alternating Fridays from 6:30 pm, starting November 6. $5 entry, a prize for the winners.
Friday nights at the old library just got competitive. Starting Friday, November 6, it's Pool Night on our billiard table, from 6:30 pm.
- When: Fridays from 6:30 pm, starting November 6
- Format: singles and mixed doubles (male/female partners) on alternating Fridays. November 6 is singles, November 13 is mixed doubles, and so on.
- Entry: $5, with a prize for the winners
- Drinks: non-alcoholic beverages for sale
- Spots: up to 8 entries a night. Sign up below (online sign-up closes at 5 pm on the day), or come by on the night while spots last.
How the nights and the season work
Every Friday is its own bracket: up to 8 entries, names drawn from a hat at 6:30, one game of 8-ball per match and a best-of-three final. The night's winner takes home a prize, and everyone else can keep playing "winner stays on" while the bracket finishes.
Each night also counts toward the season leaderboard (singles and doubles separately): 10 points for winning the night, 6 for the runner-up, 4 for a semifinal, and 1 just for playing.
The season ends with the Holiday Championship on Friday, December 18: the top 4 singles players and the top 4 doubles teams play for a championship prize.
After a holiday break, a new season starts on Friday, January 8 with a fresh leaderboard.
